test results
ZORK STL has been rigorously tested to document its performance.
A 38 month testing program was conducted by Provisor a key Australian National Research Facility that provides equipment and services for research into wine from "grape to glass".
Independent auditing and advice has been provided to ZORK by winemaker Peter Leske* and AWRI Group Analytical Services Manager, Dr Vince O'Brien to ensure the testing program is conducted to AWRI standards. Both Peter and Vince are highly regarded in their fields and have extensive experience testing all types of wine closures.
SPK has been thoroughly tested by the AWRI and a number of global wine partners.
“Based on testing results at 12 months the SPK appears to be fulfilling its promise as new ‘fit for purpose’ sparkling wine closure that can provide similar performance to traditional cork and muselet closures.” Dr Vince O’Brien AWRI Commercial Services Manager
Our summary results are available below however should you have a specific question regarding ZORK SPK’s testing protocols please contact ZORK’s Founder and Technical Director John Brooks.
*Peter Leske graduated from Roseworthy in 1983 with a degree in Oenology. He has held a wide variety of wine production and management positions in Australia and overseas: Between winemaking roles, Peter spent five years as Manager of the Technical Services Group at The Australian Wine Research Institute, providing technical assistance and advice to winemakers across the country. In 2007, he launched his own wine label: La Linea; a partnership with mates and marketing and distribution gurus David LeMire and Jason Quin.

"The rigor applied to the independent
evaluation of the ZORK
exceeds most
commercial trials and parallels
benchmark closure
research. I am very
encouraged by the performance of ZORK in
the trial.
ZORK is a closure deserving
serious consideration by winemakers."
Peter Leske*
